Happy PRIDE Day!
NC PRIDE (http://ncpride.org) is on Saturday Sept. 28th.
For our first social & mixer, let's have a "Happy Hour" gathering to get to know each other.
This will be in the gap after the "Day Festival & Parade", but well before the nighttime parties at the downtown nightclubs.

Rob's apartment is in downtown too, so you can easily come for a few drinks, stay a few hours, then mosey down to the clubs to do those nighttime parties afterwards, should you want to do so. (OR, just stay...we'll keep the social going!) :-)
Doors open at 7:30pm but again, come for as short or long stay as you'd like. Rob will have wine, some liquors (vodka, rum, etc), mixers and soft drinks. (Those who prefer beer, please bring that, cuz I never know which ones to buy!) I'll also have snacks and finger food.
It'll be a fun casual social to meet fellow members of this group, and to celebrate Pride! (Additionally, I'll invite some of the gay/bi men from the local polyamory meetup group and hopefully they'll be interested in our group too, after meeting you awesome folks!) Great way to have fun and celebrate pride with other gay/bi guys who are open-minded and enjoy our own special brand of diversity. :-)
Be sure to RSVP if you're coming so I know for my shopping needs!
Bring a date, boyfriend, partner, fwb, friend, whatever. (As long as you let them know what this group is about.) If you bring a date, etc, put in the comments.
Also, if you want to contribute food/drinks, say in the comments so I won't buy the same thing. :-)
Dress code is casual of course---wear whatever you wore to the festival & parade is just fine, or come snazzy and trendy. I don't care.
PLEASE: Coordinate with each other to arrange Designated Drivers and/or Carpools! I don't want any DUI's out there! And certainly don't want anyone not coming because they don't have a ride---try to be nice & friendly and offer to anyone who needs a lift. :-)
It's at my apartment in downtown Raleigh: 710 North Person Street, unit # 208.
Note: Building is directly adjacent to Person Street Pharmacy. Parking available on the street on Person, as well as nearby residential side streets (Franklin, Pace, Bloodworth, Blount, etc.).
****NOTE: Please RSVP as soon as you can so I can send more info to get into building to you via FB message, plus general directions!!!
Weather permitting, we'll have some nice seating on my balcony. (Do note, my complex has a strict anti-smoking policy so you'll need to do that either in your car or on the city sidewalk---sorry!) For those with pet allergies, I do have one cat, though I brush him regularly and vacuum often. (I'll have zyrtec & benadryl just in case!)
And you can call me if you get lost: 919-791-8716
